Hello Riverside Region:
On February 15, join us for an exciting Cars and Coffee event at Porsche of Rancho Mirage, which will be hosted by its new owner, Mr. Todd Blue. Todd is an avid Porsche enthusiast and is also on the Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) Board of Regents. In addition to his welcome presentation at 9AM, both his staff and invited guests from PCNA will be in attendance, who will introduce us to their newly structured dealership, discuss several of the new Porsche models, talk about the latest in Porsche service and parts, and give us an opportunity to kick the tires of the various Porsches currently in stock.
This Cars and Coffee event was created exclusively for Riverside Region and includes a no-cost continental breakfast inside the Porsche showroom. We also decided to make this event available to all Porsche owners in our area as a way of introducing non-PCA members to our Club. All attendees must register at the Riverside Region PCA Registration Table, which will be setup at the entry to the showroom.
DIRECTIONS: Enter the event at the dealership’s traffic-light entry point on Highway 111 (on the left, just north of Indian Trail Drive in Rancho Mirage).
Porsche parking is being made available to the first 15 shiny-clean Porsches for a dealer-sponsored photo-op on the paved surface to the right of the Porsche and Service showrooms. Once we have filled this parking area, additional Porsche parking will be available in the Service lanes and in the dealership’s back parking lots. (Please do not park in the dealership’s customer parking spaces.)
Dress code is casual.
If you have not yet sent an RSVP to attend, please send one to me at [email protected].
On March 1, after our Breakfast Social Meeting at Gramma’s Country Kitchen, Ed Maurer (who is also our Membership Chair) has arranged for a 2013/14 New Members Tour to MasterShield, Palm Desert. All Region members (new and old) are invited to attend. While at Mastershield, the owner and his staff will demonstrate their body and paint protection products, and the advantages it has for our Porsches. At the conclusion of this event, Ed will lead the group on a brief ride to a yummy late lunch/early dinner at Bucatini in La Quinta. ALL New Members will be treated to this meal by our Region; other members must pay their way, but I can tell you the food is fabulous and the price is reasonable. Check our Calendar for further details.
Keep the shiny side up,
