Thank you to those who joined us for the Air Museum and Social event earlier this month, with the a Big Thank You! to the Kennedy’s for hosting such a wonderful event. CFOS Volunteers Needed!
It is less than 5 weeks away from the California Festival of Speed and we still need volunteers especially for Sunday April 22. I am reaching out to all Zone 8 members asking you to help fill these positions at the 2018 California Festival of Speed at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 20 thru April 22.
Positions available for the following days and times:
Friday: April 20th
- Corral: afternoon shift 12:00 to 5:00 (1 position)
- Goodie Store: 12:30 to 5:00
- TRAFFIC CONTROL: morning shift 8:00 to 12:30 , afternoon shift 12:30 to 5:00
Sunday: April 22nd
- Goodie Store: afternoon shift 12:00 to 5:00
- Grid: afternoon shift 12:00 to 5:00
- Tear Down: 3:00 to done (at least 5 volunteers)
- Taste of Autocross: morning shift 8 to 12:30, afternoons shift 12:30 to 5:00
- Track Tours: 10:30 to 1:30 (Ticket taker, Grid Marshalls, Flaggers)
- Traffic Control: morning shifts 8 to 12:30 (5 positions), afternoon shifts 12:30 to 5:00 (12 positions)
Please help us staff all the positions. Remember each volunteer receives a volunteer shirt, parking pass and lunch money. Thank you for helping make this a great Festival of Speed. NEW: The host hotel information is now available on the CFoS website! We are staying at the Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center at 700 N Haven Avenue, Ontario, CA 91764 at $105/night.
