Hello Riverside Region:
It was nice to see such a large turnout at our March Breakfast Social Meeting. Over 35 members arrived in the rain, driving their Porsches, which as you know is an excellent vehicle for this kind of weather; just go to Germany and see for yourself what their weather is like (yes, lots of rain). And for those of you who went to the Phoenix Club Porsche Swap Meet, it was a pleasure seeing all those beautiful 356’s and early 911’s that endured the rain – – – hurrah for those owners!
- This Saturday, March 8 is our First Annual New Member’s Tour. Ed Maurer has arranged for a tour to MasterShield, Palm Desert. All Region members (new and old) are invited to attend. While at MasterShield, the owner and his staff will demonstrate their body and paint protection products and the advantages it has for our Porsches. At the conclusion of this event, Ed will lead the group on a brief ride to a yummy late lunch at Bucatini in La Quinta. ALL New Members will be treated to this meal by our Region; other members must pay their way, but I can tell you the food is fabulous and the price is reasonable. If you are not sure that you are a New Member – – – or if you have any questions – – – contact Ed, [email protected], 951-204-2006.
- On March 22, David Stewart will be hosting a Tour, Hike and Lunch. This will be a fun event. A nice drive on paved roads through the Desert hills, followed by a 2-mile roundtrip easy hike to the Whitewater Preserve. David will then take us on a drive through the old section of Palm Springs, followed by lunch at Lulu’s Bistro. Registration is on MotorsportReg.com – use the event link http://msreg.com/TourHikeLunch to sign up.
