Hello Riverside Region:
As we enter the fourth quarter of 2014, we begin welcoming back many Club Members that are returning to our warmer climate and the opportunity for them to participate in our fabulous tours that enable driving joy in their Porsches.
Speaking of tours, Dennis Murphy’s Ponte Tour and Lunch earlier this month was a well-attended event with 11 Porsches and lots of driving fun and socializing.
And of course, our thanks goes out to Ed Maurer, who unquestionably organized and managed the finest Timeline Exhibition and Show that Riverside Region has produced in these past 12 years. Ed and his volunteer staff registered 74 Porsches from many of the Regions in Zone 8, staged them along the waterfront and throughout Lake Arrowhead Village, established a Porsche Corral of over 100 additional cars, hosted a beautiful Hospitality Tent, presented awesome awards and ribbons to the “People’s Choice” winners, and in a parade caravan led a Porsche departure past many hundreds of applauding people who had come to enjoy the annual Oktoberfest and our Marque.
On Sunday, October 19, Barbara and Bob Vose will be hosting their fabulous and very popular tour to the Camel Dairy and Oasis in Ramona, with a stop on the way for lunch in Julian. Be sure to check out the details on our Calendar, and then register on MotorsportReg.com using our event link www.msreg.com/CamelTour.
And put a placeholder on your calendar for an after-breakfast tour that will take you the back way through Box Canyon, led by Morgan and Sandi Knechtel on November 1, to the General Patton Museum in Chiriaco Summit. Registration is now open on MotorsportReg.com using our event link www.msreg.com/PattonMuseum.
Our next Breakfast Social Meeting is this coming Saturday, October 4 at 8AM for tire-kicking, with sit-down at 8:30AM, at Gramma’s in Banning.
Be sure to keep checking our Website Gallery for pictures of past and recent events, and our Calendar for the latest information on our planned events and how to register for them.
Keep the shiny side up,
